OVERVIEW

Many of my clients are busy families.

They are often looking for a designer to design their whole home ("turn key"). This starts with custom fabrics and upholstery down to choosing the towels and silverware. They are looking for a designer who has an established process and who can lead them from start to finish.

What a fun & fabulous interior designer to work with! Canaan knows her colors, prints, furniture, layout & accessories. I love all of her coastal inspiration in my home. The process is flawless, she’s easy to work & communicate with.

It all starts with fabrics.

Fabrics are at the heart of my approach to an interior. Almost every sofa, chair, window drape, cushion, and bedding you see in my work is completely custom made. I work closely with a talented upholsterer and seamstress.

Bright colors are a given.

My clients often ask for something "bright, airy, and fresh". You usually won't find dark furniture in my work. You will find lots of light blues, whites, and corals. Here on the coast, you could say the color blue has pretty much become a neutral. I also like using lots of accessories to bring a space to life.

I love living on the coast.

In Wilmington, where I live, the water is a beautiful clear blue.  Most people around here have boats. For fun my husband and I enjoy boating to Masonboro Island to meet friends for oyster roasts or to grill fish tacos. The guys surf and the girls hangout.  We moved here a decade ago and I knew I would never want to move away.
